If you are an artist living and working within 3 miles of Whatstandwell, Derbyshire, you are very welcome to get in touch to find out more about our friendly group. Our main aim is to support each other in our artistic endeavours, with opportunities to show our work together, as well as regular social meet ups.
The group aims to be all inclusive and provide a stimulating, encouraging, non- judgemental environment where people can explore the many art possibilities and cover a wide range of media, while developing our own skills and knowledge. Some members are new to art, others have been doing it for years; we also have some who work professionally. We have painters, leather workers, textile artists, muralists, and someone who makes wonderful full size figures from Papier Mache.

How Art Stand began
The Art Stand Group was formed after an initial meeting before Christmas 2018. The founder members were Kennedy and David Hunns, Philip Cox and Jo Hassan. We now have up to fourteen local artists/artisans meeting to socialise, discuss art, plan exhibitions and visits, do workshops and generally have fun.
